About Us

A Long-Standing Tradition of Exceptional Funeral Services.

Water LillySouth Brevard Funeral Home opened its doors in 1971 when George W. Ammen, Jr., a Florida funeral director for nearly 60 years, established the business. In 1973, George's son, Michael W. Ammen, joined his father. George and Michael then opened East Coast Cremation in 1981, followed by the Palm Bay Funeral Home in 1984 and installed Space Coast Crematory in 1994.

Over the years, we have grown into the leading independent provider of cremation and funeral services in Brevard County. In a time when large, impersonal corporations own many local funeral homes and crematories, we are proud to say that all of our locations remain locally owned and operated.

Serving with respect and dignity.

We at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care are firmly dedicated to a respectable mission: To care for the deceased with respect and dignity and the living with compassion and understanding-and to accomplish this goal with the highest professional ethics. Our unfailing effort to fulfill this mission keeps our entire staff focused on providing superior, considerate service.

Plus, we realize that every family faces their own unique situation when a loved one passes. That's why we offer a variety of first-rate services and work with each family to customize services to fit their distinctive needs. We are dedicated to designing memorable, fitting tributes that truly reflect the lives of those who have passed.
