February 22, 1951 - December 31, 2009

Palm Bay, FL

Michael Andrew Rivett, 58, passed away on December 31, 2009 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL after a three month courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Rivett was born in Bethesda, Maryland at the Bethesda Naval Hospital on Februrary 22, 1951 to the late Andrew Albert Rivett and Earline Lockwood Rivett.

He worked diligently as a Dental Technician for 30 years and was one of the proud business owners of Rivett Dental Laboratory. Michael's passions in life were fishing, politics, and watching movies with his family. He believed in living life with integrity and compassion, living as if there was no tomorrow.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Lilia Valdez Rivett of Palm Bay, FL; three sons, Joseph Andrew Rivett of Orlando, FL, John Anthony Rivett (Sasha Rivett) of Hollywood, FL, and Andrew Albert Rivett of Palm Bay, FL; and his grandson Jason.

Mr. Rivett is also survived by three sisters Marcia Kaye Long of Herndon, VA, Karen Rivett Frankhouser (Martin Frankhouser) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kimberly Rivett Pinero of Bristow, VA.

Arrangements entrusted to South Brevard Funeral Home, 1001 S. Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL (321) 724-2222.
