Dorothy V. Wilborn

Melbourne Dorothy "Dottie" Viola Williamson Wilborn, 80, of Melbourne passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.
She was born on May 6, 1932 in Chadbourn, North Carolina to the late W.J. "Will Dan" and Ethel Nance Williamson. Dottie attended Evergreen High School where she was a star basketball player.
Dottie worked for many years at Juliette's Gift's in Melbourne. She loved gardening and was said to have had a "Green Thumb". She also enjoyed singing, dancing, reading, playing piano, writing songs and especially spending time with her large family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a good neighbor and a caring, loving person who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 wonderful years, William W. Wilborn; siblings Louise W. Smith, Rachel W. Thompson, Jay Williamson and Kaye Williamson and great grandson Grant M. Werle.
She is survived by her five children, Tony Wilborn and his wife Wendy, Ronnie Wilborn and his wife Janice, William Wilborn, Kathy Jacobson and her husband Gary and Eddie Wilborn and his wife Andrea as well as eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Viewing will be on Wednesday January 23, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Service at 1:00 PM at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne. Interment will follow in Fountainhead Memorial Park in Palm Bay.
