Gerald W. Sprengle Sr.

December 20, 1936 - February 12, 2013

Palm Bay

Gerald W. Sprengle Sr., 76, of Palm Bay, FL died at home of mesothelioma cancer on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. He was born on December 20, 1936 in Camden, NJ and grew up in Williamston, NJ. He lived in Palm Bay for the last 27 years.

Gerry graduated from Glassboro High School then served in the Navy for 4 years.Having been in the Merchant Marines and working at DuPont and the Artificial Island, Gerry began a long career in home remodeling.

Gerry was an active man, his entire life and enjoyed nature, sailing and traveling. He was a fan of NASCAR and football.

Gerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Regina Sprengle; son Gerald W. Sprengle Jr.,Palm Bay; daughter Regina Parente, Marlton, NJ; granddaughter Danielle R. DeRosa, Philadelphia, PA; he was the brother of Ruthann (Bud) Bodycott, Norma Adams, Elizabeth (Ed) Voge and Donn (Doris) Sprengle.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth A. Sprengle, brother E. Carl Sprengle and sisters Beatrice Eldridge and Verna (Ginger) Hurff.

The family thanks his many doctors and Hospice of St. Francis for their patience and care.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay.
