Jacob "Dick" Brown

September 30, 1930 - January 16, 2013

Indialantic

Dick Brown, 82, passed away on January 16, 2013 at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Leisenring, Pennsylvania and came to Indialantic in 1962.

He received his Electrical Engineering Degree from Louisiana Tech and his Masters from Florida Institute of Technology. He retired from both Pan American World Airways and Computer Sciences Raytheon.He played high school football, was an avid sports fan and coached little league baseball for his sons and grandson. He also enjoyed painting, collecting antique tools and refinishing antique furniture. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends, sense of humor and easy, outgoing personality. He will be greatly missed.

Dick is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Brown, sons Jeff Brown and Bart Brown, grandson Chase Brown and many nieces and nephews in Florida and Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his 6 brothers and sisters Ed Brown, Pat Brown, James "Stump" Brown, Jean Fisher, Vera "Butsie" Stoots and Bill Brown.

Funeral Information

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 12 Noon to 2 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne. Interment will follow in Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge.
