William S. Radune

October 10, 1925 - September 20, 2008

Palm Bay, FL

William S. Radune passed away September 20, 2008 at Life Care Center of Palm Bay, FL after a long illness. He was born in East Berlin, CT on October 10, 1925. He served in the United States Navy as a deep sea diver during World War II.

Mr. Radune was a welding engineer for Pratt and Whitney in Hartford, CT for 32 years. During that time, his passion for flying led him to build his own airplane, a Dyke Delta.

Mr. Radune is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gloria Thomson Radune. Bill leaves two sisters, Natalie Merritt of Melbourne Beach, FL and Ethel Brown of Melbourne, FL. Also, six children, Kyle, Martha, LInda, Robert and KeithThomson, and Cheryl Cubeta; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, along with Babe, his special firend.

Mr. Radune retired in 1980 and moved to Florida with his wife where they enjoyed fishing and camping.

There will be no services. Donations in his memory may be bade to the Humane Society of South Brevard, 2600 Otter Creek Lane, Melbourne, FL, 32940.
