Sudy G. Eggleston, 85, of Melbourne, FL died at William Childs Hospice House on Friday, January 6, 2012.

She was born on August 25, 1926 in Kewanee, IL to Joseph Harrison and Linda Montgomery Condon Hopper.

Her family includes her children Boni (Steve) Helpingstine, Coni (Kelly) Staton, Peggy (Rick) Palmer, Linda (Mark) Hosey, and Richard (Sharron) Eggleston, Jr.; sister Eloise Fortney; brother Cordell Hopper; granddaughter Keli Bunch, grandson Timothy Banyas, granddaughter Tina Gavin, grandson Troy Palmer, grandson Scott Eggleston, grandson Michel Palmer, grandson Jason Eggleston, granddaughter Joni Diehl, grandson Skitch Davis, grandson Dillon Helpingstine, grandson Dustin Helpingstine, and granddaughter, Kati Staton. Her great grandchildren are Christian Gavin, Avery Bunch, Jake Eggleston, Logan Gavin, Aaron Bunch, Kendall Gavin, Jackson Banyas, and Haley Banyas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard P. Eggleston, Sr. on December 18, 2003.

Sudy enjoyed camping and fishing and time spent with her family. She was of the Catholic faith and moved here in November 1988 from Dover, FL.
