William Gordon

January 14, 1927 - February 06, 2013

Palm Bay, Florida

William Gordon, age 86, of Palm Bay, Florida, died on February 6th, 2013. He was born in Wilberforce, Brownstown, Jamaica on January 14th, 1927. He was the 4th oldest son of Levy and Marjorie Gordon. He is survived by his brother Melvin, and sisters Gloria, Merl and Lovie. He is preceded by his grandson Andrew Gordon Jr.

He immigrated to Sheffield, England in 1960 and worked as a machinist for 10 years at English steel until 1970, then at Twist Drill before immigrating to America with his family in 1978, where he lived in New York until his retirement in 1990 then moved to Florida to enjoy the rest of his days with his family and friends.

He enjoys spending time with loving wife of 52 years, Asinthia, where they are both members of The Mission Church.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Asinthia, daughters Winsome Lannaman, Jennifer Narcisse, Jacqueline Minter, Althea Kariamu, sons Michael Gordon and Andrew Gordon, as well as his grandchildren Glen Lannaman, David Steele, Emma Foulds, Christopher Gordon, Robert Minter, Marlon Minter, Nsangi Kariamu, Paul Gordon, Danielle Narcisse, Seku-Baye Kariamu, Nilaja Kariamu and great-grandchildren McCole Lannaman, Tia Gordon, Rio Gordon and Mia Foulds.

Funeral Information

Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at The Mission Church 100 Emerson Drive NW, Palm Bay, Florida. His burial will be 2:30 pm at Hollywood Memorial Park North, Hollywood, Florida.
