James H. Norwood, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his home in Palm Bay, FL.

Jim was born in Corning, NY on July 12, 1931 to the late Fred and Mabell Norwood. He retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer after over 40 years of military service.

He was a member of the Southern Light Masonic Lodge # 725 and Order of the Eastern Star Lodge #460, a former member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and a former Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 15.

Jim's family includes his wife, Mary Farr Norwood; his children, Bonita (Steve) Carpenter, Mark (Sandy) Norwood, Laura (Todd) Wells, Deborah (Bill) Wesley and Amy (Jeff) Still; stepdaughters Susan (Jim) Massey, Kathleen (Jeff) Skeels and Laura (Mike) Cunningham; twenty two grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

His first wife, Martha Schanbacher Norwood, preceded him in death.

Funeral Information

A memorial service was held in Florida. Interment with military honors will take place at a later date in New York.
