Robert Francis Meehan Sr.

Robert Francis Meehan Sr, 77, went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 1, 2013.

Robert was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 8, 1935 to the late Thomas Meehan and Hazel Plum Meehan. A veteran, he proudly served his country through the United States Marine Corps. He worked for IBM at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, retiring after thirty years. His second career was as a school bus driver for the Los Alamos Public School System for 10 years. He was also active in the Knights of Columbus Los Alamos Council
3137.

Robert was a devoted husband to his wife Dolores of 57 years. He was a wonderful father to his children Thomas Meehan, Robert Meehan Jr, Deborah Brandt, Donna Demmer, and Dianne Martin.. A loving grandfather to his fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren He was a caring brother to his sisters, Dorothy Sample and Virginia Ursini.

Funeral Information

Interment with Marine Corps honors will take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5310 Babcock Street, Palm Bay, FL.

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Robert's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 378 Center Pointe Circle, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 or William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay, FL 32907.
