Michael Joseph Cocca, 88, of West Melbourne, FL died May 4, 2012.

His family includes his children Michele (Jay West) of Greenland, New Hampshire; Stephen of Helena, Montana; Renee of West Melbourne, Florida; and Patrice (Mark Gallant) of Gloucester, Virginia; brother Angelo Cooca; grandchildren Deanna (Mitch Lewis) of South Berwick, Maine; Jennifer (Mike Berardi) of Lawrenceville, New Jersey; Darra Austin of Orlando, Florida; Mark Gallant Jr. of Gloucester, Virginia; and Amanda (David Brelsford) of Yorktown, Virginia; great grandchildren Meghan and Hayley Lewis of South Berwick, Maine; Sarah and Zachary Berardi of Lawrenceville, New Jersey; and Riley Brelsford of Yorktown, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

His wife of 59 years, Elvera Smith Cocca, preceded him in death.

He had worked at Oxford Paper Company which was later called Boise Cascade. Michael served honorably in the United States Army and fought in World War II. He retired as a PSG from the Army National Guard.

Funeral Information

Private family services will be at Florida National Cemetery, with US Army honors.
