Barbara Jane Keller

January 17, 1935 - March 06, 2013

Indialantic

Barbara Jane Clifford Keller, 78, of Indialantic, passed away March 6, 2013. She was born January 17, 1935, in Framingham Center MA to Henry and Dorothy Clifford and moved to Miami, Florida, in 1936. She graduated from Florida Southern College and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She taught at Holland Elementary School for 30 years. She is survived by her daughter Connie Jane Keller Mann, son-in-law Jason Mann, and granddaughter Kaitlyn, all of Apopka. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill H. Keller.

She was elected to Outstanding Young Woman of America and served as president of Delta Kappa Gamma Education Honorary Society, Melbourne Alumni Panhellenic, Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames 17th Century, and New England Women. She was also active in Phi Delta Kappa Education Honorary Society, Junior League of South Brevard, Colonial Dames of America, Daughters of Indian Wars, and Daughters of American Colonists. She recently received Satellite High School’s Volunteer of the Year Award for 2013.

Funeral Information

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Ammen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Hickory Street (corner of Hickory and NASA), Melbourne. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.

Donations Information

The family requests no flowers, but charitable donations may be made to DAR for Guide Dogs for Disabled Veterans, Service to American Military, or Preservation of Historic Sites at PO Box 372154, Satellite Beach FL 32937 or to Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at Florida Southern College in Lakeland.
