Virgil Monroe Howes, 85. passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. Mr. Howes, a retired education consultant, was born June 13, 1925 in Newburgh, Indiana to the late Simon Monroe Howes and Nerva Pearl Bates Howes. He was an Army veteran of WW II. His family includes his daughter, Michele Walsh; a sister and brother in law, Mary Lou and Kenneth Noah; a brother, Keith Howes and a grandson, Jimmy Barton.
