Until We Meet Again

I do not need a special day,
to bring you to my mind
The days I do not think of you
are very hard to find.

Each moment when I awake,
and I know that you are gone,
and no-one knows the heartache,
as I try and carry on,

My heart still aches in sadness,
and secret tears still flow,
what it meant to lose you
no-one will ever know

My thoughts are always with you
your place, no-one can fill
in life I loved you dearly
in death I love you still.

There will always be a heartache
and often a silent tear,
but precious memories of the days
when you were near

If tears could build a stairway
and memories a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back to stay
I'll hold you close within my heart,
and there you will remain,
to walk with me throughout my life,
until we meet again

My Father's Arms

When I'm tired, sad, or lonely,
When few others seem to care.
There's a place I go to get away,
For there are no troubles there.

I can laugh or cry or fall asleep,
or all my problems bare.
It's the one place, where I can just be me,
For there are no troubles there.

I love that place, it's peaceful warmth,
A place with many charms.
My favorite place...in all the world,
Is in my Father's arms.
